Visions of Eden, LLC (DBA Lake Tahoe Tango Festival) Policies, Terms & Conditions:

Should you find yourself unable to attend the event after you have registered, a tiered schedule will be applied to any refunds. This policy will be strictly adhered to and is at the sole discretion of Visions of Eden, LLC (DBA Lake Tahoe Tango Festival).  We regret full refunds won't be possible due to processing charges.

(We will make our best efforts to assist you in selling your reservation/s to another party.  If we are able to successfully sell your reservation/s, we will refund your registration in full less a 10% administration fee. If we are unable to resell your reservation, the above tiered schedule will apply.)

The organizers understand how frustrating it is to attend classes where there are not an equal number of leaders and followers. To that end, we would appreciate your cooperation in registering early so that we can plan to help achieve balance for the lessons. Although the Lake Tahoe Tango Festival will make every effort to gender balance the classes, we cannot be responsible for your partner's level in classes, and we cannot guarantee that gender balance will be equal. We will, however, have a number of advanced dancers attending who are able to lead or follow to help balance the gender equation.

Participation in any Lake Tahoe Tango Festival event is at the Participant’s own risk. The organizers shall not be held liable for any damage, loss, or injury of any kind incurred as a result of attending the event.

For reasons of force majeure (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), war, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), terrorist activities, or failure of electricity, the organizers can decide to cancel the Event at short notice. If the Event is cancelled because of force majeure, there will be no refund of the retreat participation fee. The organizers cannot be held accountable for any expenses or losses incurred if an event is cancelled or if an event time and/or venue change occurs.

The Lake Tahoe Tango Festival reserves the right to change the festival program and/or to revise or amend these terms and conditions without notice. All updates will be published here at tahoetango.com.

Please understand that talent has the right to protect their image, especially in our modern YouTube society. Much like file sharing in the music industry, the content and presentation of class and performance material is the sole property of talent. Therefore, we request that no videography be conducted during lessons without explicit permission from the teachers. We will allow video cameras during performances, with the caveat that you use the videos for your own use rather than posting to social media. If any videos of the festival classes/performances are posted on YouTube, they will be taken down in accordance with the YouTube copyright protection policy.
No flash will be permitted during performances, and no professional photography will be allowed without prior written permission from the organizers. If you wish to take photographs, please contact organizers at: donna@rivertango.com.

  • By attending a Lake Tahoe Tango Festival event, you are consenting to the filming, photography or sound recording of you and the use of such material for both commercial and non-commercial purposes. The Participant grants the organizers the right to publish and modify pictures, sound recording and image material etc., recorded during or around the time of the Event, in which the Participant is visible, and such material may be used for commercial or non-commercial use.

  • By registering for the Lake Tahoe Tango Festival, you give consent that your pictures or films can be published and modified on the websites of the Festival or at the social network sites that belong to the organizer, and the official photographers of the Festival.

Yes, but recognize that it is necessary to have basic tango experience to give context to topics the teachers will present in classes at this retreat. Out of fairness to all attendees, the teachers will not alter the level of their classes for students unable to keep up. The Festival workshops were designed to provide material that will benefit everyone from intermediate to advanced dancers. (Technique classes are appropriate for all levels, from beginners through advanced.) The organizers and teachers reserve the right to request that a student leave any class if they feel he or she is unable to keep up with the material, poses any physical danger to other students, or is disruptive. For those unable to keep up, organizers will make every attempt to substitute a class at an appropriate level, but no refunds will be offered.

Nevada and California law allows persons with disabilities to bring trained service dogs and psychiatric service dogs, but not emotional support animals, to all public places. Several different California laws set out the rights of people with disabilities who use animals to assist them. These laws include the Unruh Civil Rights Act, the California Disabled Persons Act (CDPA), and the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA). Therefore, service dogs and psychiatric service dogs are welcome at the Lake Tahoe Tango Retreat. The ADA requires that service animals be under the control of the handler at all times. If a service animal is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it, LTTR staff may request that the animal be removed from the premises.
